Julie Ortman is the wellness director for Verve a credit union. She has been involved in the health and fitness arena for her entire life. Between playing, coaching and owning her own personal training business she has done it all. Matt Dunn has been the Senior Regional Sales Director for Omada Health for almost 3 years. In his role, he is tasked to provide knowledge on how employers, health plans and systems can best reduce the risks affiliated with obesity related chronic disease. Matt has spent most of his 20 year career in the health care industry - working with both the national and international payer relationship roles. Matt has been a passionate advocate for behavioral change as being the gold standard for reducing the presence of obesity related chronic disease.
Tony Renning is a founding member of Strang, Patteson, Renning, Lewis & Lacy, s.c. Tony is located in the firm’s Oshkosh office. He provides advice and counsel to employers about their rights and obligations under federal and state laws and regulations. He advises on all aspects of labor and employment compliance, including wage and hour, leaves of absence, discrimination, harassment, reduction in force, work force management, employment policies and handbooks as well as other employment-related matters. Tony has experience with labor negotiations, union certification and decertification campaigns, unfair labor practice litigation and contract administration, including grievance arbitration. He regularly represents clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission. In addition, Tony conducts employment-related training for employers. His primary client base includes private (various industries) and public (counties, cities and school districts) employers of all sizes.
Dr. Heather Schmidt is a family medicine physician in Fond du Lac, WI. She trained at Mid-western University- Chicago College of Medicine and completed her residency at Exempla/St. Joseph’s Hospital in 2005. After practicing for approximately five years, she started exploring ways to better educate and engage her patients in the area of lifestyle medicine and overall well-being. She attended the Healthy Kitchens, Healthy Lives course in 2010 and was inspired to develop a series of group medical appointments to help patients understand how to manage chronic medical conditions with lifestyle modification. She moved into the role of Medical Director of Health and Wellness at Agnesian HealthCare in 2013 and since that time, has spent half of her time developing relationships with community stakeholders to partner and create programming to address the social determinants of health and improve population health out-comes.
