The Sheboygan County Activity and Nutrition Coalition, (SCAN) Committee, partnered with the Wellness Council of Wisconsin to engage and challenge local businesses to improve the health & well-being of the workforce in Sheboygan County. The coalition met their established goal to achieve a ‘Sheboygan Well County’ designation from the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) in 2020.
In August of 2016 the Sheboygan Well County project was submitted to the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA). The Wellness Council accepted the application in September of 2016. The Sheboygan Well County Task force recruited 20 companies to the initiative and received a Bronze Level Well County designation in October of 2020. This is a five year designation.
